How and why are Japanese people so polite ??????

When I came to Toronto, I realized that

foreigners have a lot of stereotypes about Japan.

The most popular stereotype about

Japanese people is that “they are polite” So today I’m going to

clarify these stereotypes

about Japan from what I know .

Seriously, I think Japanese people are the most polite people in the world.

One of my friends said “Why do Japanese people

always apologize ?” For example

when you open the door for a Japanese person, they

will tell you “oh !!sorry..” They apologize.

That means that they feel sorry to have given

you trouble to open the door. Another things is that when you give them a present they say,

“Ah.. sorry ..thank you so much !!!” At first

they will apologize to you. However sometimes

Japanese people say “ sorry” as “ thank you”

because it cost you trouble to buy that

present , but at the same time they feel

Thankful for buying it for them.

When Japanese people were in kindergarten, they learned that it is important to apologize and to appreciate what people do for them.

So let me say to this ,Japanese people will always say

“sorry” or “thank you” but this is their culture .

So don’t be surprised and don’t feel bad when they apologize to you.
